About

Untitled-1I live at Greenville, a few miles outside Templemore, Co. Tipperary, in the heart of rural Ireland.

I am married to Seosamh and we have three sons, Don (17), Joss (15) and Étienne (9); and two pet dogs Mandjar and Venice.

My background is in Anthropology, fashion, event management, entertaining, and I am currently studying art history.

I love people to visit Greenville and enjoy the unique atmosphere this almost 200 year old property exudes.

Guest Accommodation

Greenville Cottage

Greenville is a stone-built property dating back to about 1840.

Guests experience the tranquility and history of rural Ireland – combined with 21st Century conveniences and proximity to a range of local villages, cities and tourist attractions. We do not advertise the cottage as a hotel like experience. We have tried to keep as much as possible in tact in terms of the vernacular beauty and simplicity of the property’s design. Surrounded by birdsong and nature, and built in the shadows of the legendary Devil’s Bit Mountain, Greenville is a home some filled with history, warmth , style and atmosphere.

Limited parking  is available in front of the Cottage, and Denise advises visitors to drive with care on the laneway and when parking.

The Devil’s Bit

There is a town-park in Templemore five minute drive away, with a lake that is ideal for picnics and short walks.  You will also be close to the Rock of Cashel, Birr, Kilkenny City and many other places of historical importance in midlands Ireland.  Slightly longer day-trips will get you to Dublin, Cork, Wexford or Kerry – and you can still return home to the comfort of Greenville that night.

Greenville will inspire you with its history, art and ambiance.  It is clear that it is maintained with love.
